چکیده
The front cover picture was designed by C. Zippel, Z. Hassan and S. Bräse. Kinetic resolution of 4-acetyl[2.2] paracyclophane via ruthenium-catalyzed enantioselective hydrogenation has been realized. This method can be performed on a multigram-scale gives access to enantiomerically pure derivatives with planar central chirality (Rp)-4-acetyl-PCP (97% ee, 43%) (Sp,S)-PCP 46%), which are useful intermediates since it transformed into wide variety enantiopure for the synthesis PCP-based ligand/catalyst systems chiroptical materials.
